Itinerary

Experience the beauty of the West Coast’s natural regions on a Pinnacles Day Tour. This tour offers an opportunity to explore the stunning Pinnacles and get a glimpse of the wildlife in their native wonderland, all while enjoying a star-studded twilight adventure.

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and explore some of Western Australia’s finest natural wonders for a day.

After 1.5 hours from Perth, we stop at Lancelin’s lookout. It has the largest network of dunes in Western Australia. The snow-white dunes contrast with the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean in the distance. We shake the sand out of our shoes before heading to Nilgen Nature Reserve. It has abundant flora and fauna. We walk through a kaleidoscope of wildflowers, including banksias, bottlebrushes, heath, grass trees, and kangaroo paws. They burst with life during their season. If the flowers are hiding, we go to Hangover Bay. There, you can dip your toes in the clear waters or spot dolphins and sea lions.

At Nambung National Park, visitors can see the unique Pinnacles desert at sunset. Comprised of shells, these ancient limestone pillars formed millions of years ago when the area was submerged underwater. It is recommended to explore the desert at dusk when the crowds disperse, allowing for a tranquil experience and the opportunity to witness the changing colours of the rocks, creating an otherworldly atmosphere similar to the moon.

Experience a picnic dinner with a glass of local wine (included) as you watch a mesmerizing light show of natural wonder under the sky. As the sun sets, you can admire the breathtaking beauty of the stars and planets twinkling high above. Hear the ancient tales of the Aboriginal Dreamtime and gaze into the vastness of space.

*A moderate level of fitness is required to complete the walks. This tour departs throughout the year at different times to maximize the sunset experience, and as such, the itinerary stops may change slightly.

Experience the breathtaking views of the West Coast during your tour. Then, continue along the Indian Ocean to your next destination, the Nilgen Nature Lookout. Take a stroll and admire the stunning wildflowers when they are in bloom. When wildflower season is not in effect, we will guide you to Hangover Bay, which holds significant importance for Aboriginal groups. At Hangover Bay, you may have the opportunity to observe seals and whales in the distance while gaining knowledge about bush tucker and traditional medicine.

The tour takes you to the Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park. You will walk through the desert and learn about the formation of these interesting rocks over a long period. During dinner, you can enjoy a picnic with a glass of wine. As the sun sets over Nambung National Park, you can witness the changing colours of the desert. You can also stargaze using astronomy equipment before returning to Perth.
