Our guide will explain the region’s superb surfing conditions, influenced by its closeness to Antarctica, including the need for wetsuits

A visit to the Great Ocean Road monument is a must. It signifies the start of this historic route. Capture memories at the Memorial Arch, learn about the soldiers who constructed the road honouring their comrades, and enjoy more of the road’s stunning views, pausing for photo opportunities.
Throughout our journey, we’ll search for Koalas in their natural habitat along the Great Ocean Road. While their exact location can’t be guaranteed, our experienced guides know the best spots to spot these charming creatures potentially.
Enjoy a lunch stop in the picturesque town of Apollo Bay (meals at your own expense). Explore the town, pick up souvenirs, or savour some delicious ice cream before we head towards the Great Otway National Park.
Venturing into the Great Otway National Park, we witness a striking contrast in landscapes as we walk among tree ferns and ancient Myrtle Beach trees, remnants of the Gondwanaland supercontinent. Soak in the fresh air before we journey towards the Shipwreck Coast.

Arriving at the Port Campbell National Park, we spent around 40 minutes at the 12 Apostles. Here, you have free time to admire the views, explore the boardwalks, and capture the essence of this rugged coastline.

Loch Ard Gorge and the Shipwreck Coast In the National Park, we visit Loch Ard Gorge, the famous shipwreck site. Learn about the story of Tom and Eva, explore the beach, and discover rock formations like the Island Archway and Razorback.

After a day filled with exploration, we leave the Great Ocean Road behind, heading back to Melbourne via country roads. Passing through rural landscapes to the town of Colac, there’s an option for a quick dinner stop (at your own expense). We aim to arrive back in Melbourne around 8:30 pm.
